In the Public-school system, we noticed the reward system for children who do exceptionally was generally poor. We, however, carried out surveys by visiting various public schools in our vicinity to investigate this motion. With this the “Sponsor a Child” initiative was born. We decide to visit schools in our vicinity rewarding 100 students per school across all the classes. We provided books, stationery, bags, etc, as well as awarded scholarships to most outstanding students who excelled in their respective classes. With this, we hoped to encourage and ensure progress in the pupils. We also carried out a follow-up session to see improvements levels within pupils, this was a positive exercise and encouraged the phase 2 plan for this project.
