Build a Child initiative was birthed in Lagos state, where we reached over 200 children at Ireti grammar school. We were able to sensitize these children on skill acquisition, sex education, global warming, and basic etiquettes. We also made sure to supply them with basic stationeries like books, pens and math sets. We took this project to Ibadan; Ajiran grammar school where we reached 170 pupils. We further carried out an analysis and we realized the need to sponsor various pupils who have shown remarkable academic potential but are unable to buy basic textbooks, or go further in their secondary school education due to lack of funding. This led to the birth of the Build a child scholarship scheme with the core goal of addressing sponsorship of students. The scheme would operate primarily in public schools across Lagos, Port-Harcourt, and Ibadan.
