This initiative was engineered by the movement called SOCIAL CHANGE GROUP. It was fully supported by the RCF team headed by Roberts Chinonso (Founder RCF). The Book drive event was a dynamic initiative, with a great outreach of over 600 students. It entailed the donation of textbooks, bags, workbooks and notebooks in different classes to different schools. It was rather an exciting school tour because we got to talk to pupils on the importance of education, we were privileged to hear smart minds, discuss and tell us where they wanted to be and where they saw themselves in few years to come. We were however very impressed with some pupils who we gave termly scholarships.
We visited schools like;
1. Community Primary School Olanada, School 1 and 2
2. St Andrews School 1, 2, 3 and 4
3. State School Orogbum 1 and 2
4. State Primary School Orominike 1, 2 and 3
On our tour of these 11 schools, we were able to take note of some special cases which involved provision of new school uniforms and sandals for a number of pupils. we also encountered a set of very intelligent twins with eye defects due to albinism and we are currently working on a way to procure them with prescribed glasses to aid their vision.
